2019 Climate and Diversity Conference Able, Active, and Adaptive
Texas A&M University’s Department of Health and Kinesiology’s Climate & Diversity Committee is proud to announce its second annual Able, Active, and Adaptive Climate and Diversity Conference. The mission of this conference seeks to promote the inclusion of, and support for, individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities or disorders in enhancing their capabilities. The Conference will be held on March 1, 2019, at the Physical Education Activity Program Building on the campus of Texas A&M University. This student-led conference provides academic and practical presentations, exhibits, and experiences that meet the interests and needs of individuals and groups with physical disabilities, or intellectual disabilities. The committee is seeking applications for presentations that share research, demonstrate an activity, offer an adaptive experience, host a workshop, or present an exhibitor booth.
HLKN Diversity Committee utilizes an established set of criteria during its review of proposals. This includes, but is not limited to, the overall quality of the proposal and relevance to the committee’s mission; stature of the speakers within the industry; appeal to the general audience.
